World Mission Offering Status

May God's glory fill the whole earth." (Psalm 72: 19) SHARE JESUS- Give to the WORLD MISSION OFFERING Balancing our faith with what we see around us is difficult today. A glance at the news can cause us a sense of dismay, and may even challenge our faith and hope in the redeeming work of God. In our own country we see violence, corporate scandals, and unemployment; beyond American borders, the bad news continues. People live in overwhelming poverty, without access to basic health care. Many cope with the effects of civil war, earthquakes, floods, and other disasters. Children lack school supplies and decent clothing. The world cries out for justice, healing and hope. The Good News is that God offers true hope in Jesus Christ And today Christians all over the world are energetically engaged in cross-cultural mission, praising God for His goodness in their lives and sharing Jesus with others. The vision and vibrancy of the world church is an inspiration to all of us. What is our challenge and responsibility in a time like this? American Baptists have a heart for mission and a "can do" spirit -- and God is calling all of us to be witnesses to His love and saving grace. International Ministries' Go Global strategic plan, now in its fourth year, is building on a long and trusted tradition of holistic mission. Working with partners, nearly 150 American Baptist missionaries are deeply committed to ministries of evangelism and discipleship. Christ-like ministries of mercy and healing, and ministries of equipping pastoral leaders. People of all ages are coming to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, and living with new hope, through these ministries. Please pray and consider what financial commitment you will make to the WORLD MISSION OFFERING. Our church will receive this offering during September and October with a goal of $2,500. The offering provides basic support for all of your American Baptist missionaries and for mission projects undertaken by your global mission partners. Please give generously! Pray that we may remain faithful to God's calling and glorify God in all the earth by using the envelope provided. We are really struggling to meet this goal so we need your conjoined effort to make sure our church will come together to meet this goal!
