Paraguay Mission Trip

Posted on Fri, Mar 4, 2016

I am honored to announce that I have been selected to participate in an Operation Christmas Child (OCC) mission trip with Samaritan’s Purse to Asuncion, Paraguay. Selected volunteers from across the U.S. will form teams that will visit surrounding villages, minister to the local people, participate in outreach events, and distribute OCC shoebox gifts to the needy children.

This trip is coordinated by Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.

I am very excited to see how God will use this team for His will and purpose, as well as, how each of us will grow spiritually as individuals. I desire to become more aware of the culture and needs of the people in Paraguay in order to truly understand them and be a witness of Christ’s love. This will be a faith-stretching experience to rely on God by stepping out into the unknown and allowing Christ to work through me.

Please pray for this great opportunity. Please pray for health, travel, finances and unity within the team as well as for the people of Paraguay that God will open their hearts and minds to the gospel.

Shoebox gifts collected in the United States in 2015 will be delivered to 80,880 children in Paraguay.  Praise God that over 55,300 children have received a shoebox since 2000, when OCC began distributing gifts here.

-Paraguay has 6.7 million people and is located in central South America

-26% of the population is 14 years old or younger

The cost of the trip to Paraguay is estimated to be $3,200 - $4,200. Samaritan’s Purse is a non-profit charitable organization and only able to undertake these vision trips if sufficient funds are raised. If the Lord lays it on your heart to support this trip financially, I would be very grateful.

Upon my return, I will be honored to share with you the events of the trip, all the incredible things that God did and all the moments that the team witnessed His presence.  I have no doubt that

God will do amazing things and that lives will be changed forever.

 Thank you and God bless!
