First Baptist Church of Weston Extends our Deepest Sympathies and Prayers to the family of Randy Rogers. 

Randal “Randy” Lee Rogers Jr.

Age 52, of Grafton, WV passed away unexpectedly at 9:01 PM on Tuesday, July 04, 2017 after having a heart attack at his residence while celebrating the holiday with family and friends.

He was born in Oberlin, OH on October 25, 1964 a son of the late Randal Lee Rogers Sr. and Nancy Lou Garrison Rogers of Weston, WV.

On September 24, 1988 he married his high school sweetheart, Sharry Walsh, who will dearly miss him and his loving presence after 28 years of marriage.

His kind, loyal nature will be carried on by his two children: Wesley Walsh Rogers, and Rachel Victoria Rogers, both of Grafton; three siblings: Sherry L. Rogers of Weston, WV; Steve Rogers and wife, Melissa, of Lost Creek, WV and Janie Rogers of Weston; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his loyal companions and beloved dogs: Belle and Kaya.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his Border Collie, Joy, who was always by his side.

Randy graduated from West Virginia University with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in geology. Working as a professional geologist, he became the Assistant Vice President and Director of the Natural Gas Market for of GAI Consultants in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of both the Harrison and Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, IOGA, WVONGA, WV Professional Geologists, Knights of Columbus in Clarksburg, and the men’s prayer group at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg. He was also the assistant cross country coach at Notre Dame High School. Above all else, his family was his top priority and greatest gift and he treasured time spent with them.

Friends and family will gather at All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport from 3-8 PM on Sunday, July 09, 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday with Father Chris Turner as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Weston Masonic Cemetery in Weston.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tennessee Donor Services at 7015 Middlebrook Pike Knoxville, TN 37909. Randy was a firm believer in organ donation and wanted to play a role in donating life to others.

The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew is honored and privileged to serve the family of Randal Lee Rogers.
