Our Revival, "How to be an Authentic Christian:" is soon approaching. The dates for the Revival will be April 13, 14, 15, and 16. The entire schedule is listed in the calender of the website. Our Revival Pastor will be the Reverend Mark Stump from Gassaway Baptist Church, Gassaway, WV, and our Minister of Music will once again be Dr. Al Washburn. Dr. Washburn is presently serving as the organist of Anchor Baptist church in Lexington, Kentucky.
I hope you will all reserve these dates and mark them on your calenders. We need to begin now to pray that souls will be saved and lives will be revitalized and renewed.
I wonder though, is there a special way to have a revival? Is there something we should do in the mean time?
A man once came to Gipsy Smith, the celebrated English evangelist of an earlier time, and asked him how to have a Revival. Asked Gipsy, "Do you have a aplace where you can pray?" "Yes," was the reply.
"Tell you what to do, you go to that place and take a piece of chalk along. Kneel down there and with the chalk, draw a complete circle all around you--and pray for God to send revival on everything inside the circle. Stay there until he answers--and you will have revival."
