The youth have been busy during the month of October with regular youth meetings on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. Recently they attended a Broad Run Association Youth Rally at Murphy’s Creek Baptist Church. The youth were involved in a praise and worship service with a devotion given by a college student who challenged our youth to be authentic Christians and to live differently because we have been changed by the Holy Spirit living within us. Later we were treated to a pizza fellowship in the church basement.
On Sunday, October 26, we loaded up the church van and went to the home of Lanny and Sonia Adkins. They hosted more than 20 youth and adult sponsors to a hayride and hotdog dinner with cookies and smores for dessert. The scenery was beautiful as we viewed the colorful hillsides and enjoyed the fellowship of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We want to say a special thank you to the Adkins for opening their home to our youth group.
The Senior High Convention will be held in Parkersburg during November. If any senior high student is interested in attending, please see one of the youth workers as soon as possible.
