BYF NEWS

Jr. and Sr. High BYF began Sunday, September 17th, with 13 in attendance. Sr. High was greeted by Stephanie and Allison with calendar in hand to discuss and schedule several activities for the new year. While Jr. High was met by Carla and Debbie with a welcome back walk to the Ice Cream Barn for a special treat. Then we returned to the church to write in our prayer journals and have a short lesson on prayer. Activities for Oct. & Nov. include:

10/01: Praise Worship (No Class)

10/08 & 15: Supper & BYF Class

10/22: Fall Festival @ Fisher Baptist Camp

10/29: "Mountain Fury Band " (No Class)

* Reservations due for Sr. High Convention

11/05: Praise Worship (No Class)

11/12,19: Supper & Class

11/17-19: Sr. High Convention -St. Albans

11/26: Thanksgiving Break (No Class)

TWO PARTIES IN ONE!

That's what we're having on Sunday, October 22nd when all Children's Clubs and BYF attendees come to Fisher Baptist Camp. There will be a Fall Festival from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with lots of food and games!

Parents . . . drop your children off at the camp at 4:00 p.m., go to church for supper and evening service, come back and pick them up at 7:00 p.m. Deanna and Denise will have lots of games for the younger children while BYF leaders will have plenty challenging games and relays for the youth. Deanna asks children K - Grade 5 to dress up in their favorite Biblical costume such as Mary, Joseph, Angel, Noah, Animals, etc . . .(NO SATAN!)

So, all you Club and BYF members don't forget to mark your calendar for this FUN FALL EVENT! There will be a special surprise in store if the weather cooperates!

SENIOR HIGH CONVENTION

Senior High Convention is a three day event designed to equip, challenge, and encourage the Christian Walk of Senior High students and will be held at St. Albans First Baptist Church November 17th - 19th. The band "Kurios" will also perform. Any Senior High youth (grades 9 - 12) interested in attending should make plans to sign up by Sunday, October 29th. Annica Hayhurst Swisher has extended an invitation to our youth to camp out at her house during the convention - THANKS ANNICA! So, please sign up as soon as possible for reservations to be finalized. We also ask that you be committed to this decision due to paying in advance and there will be no refund.
