A Note from Rev. Jim Crouch

Posted on Wed, Oct 6, 2004:

We now have the official word that Rev. Kenneth Miller and family will be coming to our church as pastor the first part of November.  That does not give us very much time to get things all ready for their arrival.  I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help and kindness you have shown me and Gloria these eight months we have been back with you as interim pastor.  I am excited for our church and I hope that you can feel the same way as we begin a new chapter in the history of our church.  As a former pastor that has been around for a long time, let me give you some good advice.  You have had many pastors to lead this church.  Each one has a part of their heart still here at Weston.  The one who comes to be your pastor in November is not asking you to forget the pastors who have gone before him but to just make enough room in your heart for he and his family.  If we will do that everyone will be happy and the work of the Lord will make progress.  Thank you again for letting me be with you to help fill the pulpit while you were without a pastor.

Sincerely, Jim
