Our Interim Pastor

Many exciting things are happening for us at First Baptist Church. It's really hard to believe that the summer is almost over and we are getting ready to enter the fall season in our programming. Rev. John Simmons was with us Labor Day weekend and John brought us the message at both morning services.

Sunday, September 12th, we will be doing our regular slated services at the regular time. The evening activities for Rally Day are found elsewhere on this website. Plan to attend Rally Day at Fisher Baptist Camp and enjoy the fun, food, fellowship, and the special devotional time which will be led by the Rev. Kenny Fisher Praise and Worship team, from Glenville Baptist Church.

As you also will read on the website, our Pulpit Committee is presenting a prospective pastor as candidate to become our pastor and he will preach for us on September 19th at the 10:45 a.m. service and there will not be an early service this day. The church is providing you a chance to meet with him and his family on Saturday, September 18th. Details of this event can be found on the newsletter. Let's make every effort to be present on the 19th of September and take part in the calling of our next pastor.
