When you read this Newsletter, it will be the first part of May 2004. I know that there are many things that I would like seen done already this year, but they are not yet completed. We are in the very beginnings of seeking a pastor to be our leader. This can be a very exciting time in the life of a church or it can be a real chore. How we approach the situation will determine which it will be.

I urge each of you to pray daily for this task before us. Pray for the committee that will be doing much of the up front work in this task but also pray for the entire church. We are the First Baptist Church of Weston. Families may disagree from time to time but we are still family and need to support each other.

We need to be loyal and faithful to the services of our church especially during this time of not having a full-time pastor. I want to visit each one of you as time will permit and also to visit those who may be looking for a place to serve the Lord. I am depending upon you to keep me informed on who is sick, despondent, happy or unhappy for what ever reason. Although I am only here part-time but while I am here I want to be full-time.
