From Rev. Crouch

Its really hard to believe that we are already in the month of April. Many activities will be taking place this month. Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are just around the corner. We are making plans for the Easter Sunrise Service here at the church and hope that you will take time to come and be with us. On Sunday April 4th our choir will present the Cantata "Glorious" during the regular 10:45 a.m. worship service. The children will present a program on Sunday Evening at 7:00 p.m. Please make every effort  to attend these special services.

When I think of Easter I think of new beginnings. We here at First Baptist are starting out on a new journey together. We are once again seeking a person to be our pastor. A pulpit Commitee will be selected to help in the great task but all of us will need to be much in prayer that we are led to the person that the Lord has selected to be our shepherd. We all need to be in prayer that the Holy Spirit will lead us and we work together to accomplish this important task in the history of our church.

I am back at Weston First Baptist for the third time. You have all heard that the third time is a charm. I really do covet your prayers and support during this time of seeking a pastor. If I did not have a love for the church and faith that great things can happen here I would have not been willing to undertake this task. I feel that we can and must move forward even during the interim period in the history of the church. If for any reason you need me and cannot get in touch with me, call the church office for my toll free number in Summersville. Your input and ideas and prayers are most important to me.

                                                                           Sincerely,

                                                                          Jim Crouch
