On Tuesday, July 24th, many of the youth and adults of the church took on the thrill of Cedar Point. We left Monday evening and stayed with a couple of families in Williamstown, WV. While in Williamstown we enjoyed pizza, air hockey, games and devotions. After just a few hours of sleep we grabbed some breakfast and left very early to try to spend as much time as possible at the park.
When we arrived at the park excitement began to build. Some people headed straight for the Thrill Dragster, a roller coaster at a 90 degree angle, 420 feet high at a speed of 120 m.p.h., others visited Millennium Force with an 80 degree drop, 350 feet high. The rest of the groups visited the Raptor, Mantis, Wicked Twisted and many other great coasters in the park. For some they decided the train and the Ferris Wheel were more their speed, but whatever your speed everyone found something to enjoy that day.
Unfortunately, we did have some rain that shut down some rides throughout the day but we didn't let that dampen our spirits. Althought the rain moved in we didn't let that slow us down. We all continued to face our fears and share our Christian love with those around us.
