YOUTH NEWS

Seventeen youth and eight adults from First Baptist attended the National Day of Prayer youth event held Wednesday, May 3rd. They participated in a Youth Walk from Garton Plaza to the Lewis County Park and enjoyed food and entertainment following the event. We praise LCHS senior student and First Baptist member Kayla Grose for leading the opening prayer.

It's amazing how fast this year has passed for youth fellowship! The Jr. High BYF and leader Carla Pratt had a great year and spent their finale for the summer Sunday, May 21st at the Coke & Float. They enjoyed delicious ice cream and Christian fellowship! Carla thanks and appreciates her husband Bill for driving the church van to the event.

Children's Clubs also had their finale the same evening enjoying ice cream Sundaes furnished by leader Debbie Snyder in fellowship hall.

Promotion Sunday is June 4th. All children and youth are asked to gather in the fellowship hall for a short promotion ceremony at 9:30 a.m. during Sunday School.

Nine youth and two adult chaperones are attending Brother's Keeper this year. The cost per person is $210.00. If you feel led to sponsor a youth or just want to give a donation to the camp scholarship fund, please do so by either contacting Carla Pratt 269-7431 or memo on your check "Brother's Keeper '06".
